What is Happiness? What does it mean to be Happy? Do you rememeber when you last felt truly happy? Simple questions with perhaps equally simple answers.
Once upon a time, i heard a very interesting maxim "It is very Simple to be Happy but very difficult to be Simple."
Most of us really thought atleast when we were young, just newly born into this world, smelling the winds of our youth that happiness is living and ultimate life of inexhaustible pleasures, having monetary success and developing One's reputation beyond measure in this world so that we could enjoy a glorious life.
And definately, few friends here have achieved that dream for themselves, but not the Happiness that they thought they were looking for.
Some have even mentioned their dilemma about feeling pretty saturated with the life that they are living themselves.
So, we are back at the most vital question. What is happiness? How can one be happy in life? What do we need to be happy in life?
Am I going to answer these questions? Definately not you will, but yes i am going to put forward an interesting argument about this word called 'Happiness'
If we thought what 'happiness' is? then is that truly Happiness? Is our thought of 'Happiness' the 'Happiness' that we are seeking?
Or, Is there something else?
To tell you the truth friends 'Happiness needs nothing' you are either happy or not
its as simple as that. When you are Happy you know it and when you are not you know that too.
We struggle all our life to find One simple moment of enduring and pure happiness and that eludes us, simply because we are always looking for it in the wrong place.
There are several kinds of Happiness. Momentary Happiness and Long Term Happiness
If your someone who is too satisfied with Momentary Happiness then Long term wont bring any Happiness to and vice versa
What do you need to be happy? Simply Nothing. Be Happy - You dont need a reason to be happy. If you can accept that well and good if not, well what can i say?.....
Be Happy it costs nothing. Life is already good.
I know few might be thinking i am a nut, for sure i am and why not?
Its not a moment of achieving or attaining that brings any Happiness.
In truth, it when we are no more thinking about achieving of attaining anything that truly brings us Happiness.
For eg. When we want something and we want it so badly that we refuse to be happy without it. when we think we have got it what happens then? In that defining moment, we forget the desire of our want and that is exactly what brings a flood of Happiness within us, but we are thinking that we have got what we wanted therefore we are happy.
Now, have you ever seen a dog chewing on the bone until its gum starts to bleed and it thinks its enjoying the taste of blood coming from the bone?
